alright, i thought i was too stoned to write, but apparently not. i haven't had my afternoon siesta (not nap, those naps that i intend to last only one hour always stretch to two) for the last couple of days, and i've still been sleeping at midnight and ahead, and getting up at seven. not very healthy, since i'm onwards to being sick again. oh well.

anyway, kindie moment!

1. spencer's this boy in the afternoon. pretty knowledgable for his age, if you ask me (i mean, i don't think i knew that orange traffic lights meant get ready to move, and not just wait when i was going on six). well, he's going to follow his brother's footsteps, homeschooling after he's done with k2. but i think if he'd gone to mainstream school, he'd have done really well. haha he's telling me now that he doesn't like school because he doesn't learn anything in school, since his dad teaches him a lot more stuff. but anyway, he's quite tiny haha and that's the point of this kindie moment.

2. chang yao's one of the asd kids in the afternoon, and he's super cute and full of surprises. like when the kids were learning about hanyu pinyin, he happily stated that b, p, m, f etc. were consonants and a, e, i, o, u were vowels. and everytime we tell him, "you better listen to the teacher, or else i'll take the ruler and whack your backside", he goes "idontwantidontwantidontwantidontwant" haha. he's really adorable, but with one problem: he doesn't have a social filter. means he can be in the lift, and tell his mother out loud "mummy why that man so fat" kind of thing. yep, not exactly good for next time, he'll just go round offending every gangster, like "why your tatoo so ugly".

(1 + 2). it was after recess, and all the kids were on the floor waiting for lesson to start. and spencer lets out this almighty burp, like real big, i've never done that big before haha. and changyao goes "why spencer so small burp so big?"

oh man, i just burst out laughing with the kids, lao shi looked confused, having not heard the socially un-filtered comment, chang yao just smiled a bit bemusedly, not knowing why his comment was so funny, and spencer just looked plain embarassed for a more-mature-and-knowledgable-than-his peers boy. haha.

which goes to show how much i'm going to miss my kids when the term ends. one crazy yet innocent bunch. working and happy. with happy stories to tell at the the end of everyday. i wonder if it'll be like that after i'm done with my education and start working and nothing else. i hope it'll be that way. it should be.

anyway, monday's going to spell a shrinking of the class, since declan's off to new zealand for three weeks (and i thought two weeks in aussie land was too long, apart from the weather) and zhua li's off the malaysia, while the other kids may just choose to have an extended long weekend.

speaking of which, declan gave me an enormous easter egg with jelly beans, as well as one for lao shi, and chocolates for the entire class. haha cute stuff haha.
