and to end of the term with a bang, here are the kindie moments of the day!

1. there's this austistic boy, zhua li, who loves chocolate, in the morning session in my class, and today's recess was kaya sandwiches and milo, which is something he doesn't like. but he pops by my table where i'm handing out seconds, and spots the various cups of milo.

zhua li: "chocolate!"
me: "you want to try?"
zhuali takes a sip
me: "nice?"
zhua li: "yummy!"

afterwhich he proceeds to drink two more cups of milo. haha he's super cute haha. and when he wants to call people, he doesn't call you by name, he says "excuse me". very polite boy haha.

2. there's this pre-nursery boy thurein (i think that's how you spell it, it's burmese). he's famous in the kindie for his 'uniform' reply. you see, his teacher was trying to teach him about colours. so she pointed to his uniform and said, "blue!"

thurein: "no!"
ms neo: "this is blue."
thurein: "no! uniform!"

yes, the uniform reply indeed. so you see, on wednesday, ms neo and i played with him, or rather tortured him, by pretending to run away with his elmo waterbottle, which made him cry haha. okay, that's not funny, but the funny part was he sorely remembered me for it. on thursday, i was at the assembly area when the afternoon kids arrived. and thurein refused to put his things in the right row. so mrs tang picked up some of his things, and asked that he pick up his elmo waterbottle.

me: "if you don't pick it up, ms tang will take it away."
thurein: -stares-
me: -picks elmo up-
thurein: -starts to cry-

haha whoops, but he asked for it! haha okay okay, i'm not a meanie okay -.- but today, i met him again at the assembly area, and i asked him where his waterbottle was, and he quickly pointed at his row haha. then he spotted my own waterbottle, which i was holding in my hand, and proceeded to declare all the stickers i had there haha. he's super cute!

that's why i said, working in a kindie's a BOP surplus, and nothing from econs ever really leaves you does it =p
